Bits and Pieces . . .

When photographer Frank Swannell arrived in Rose Lake on the evening of April 30, 1914, the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway grade was in flood condition due to the Bulkley River. The train he was on was derailed twice.

In January of 1914, A.D. McAllister opened the first post office in Rose Lake. It later closed in September of that same year.
